Drupal camp aftermath and Drupal meetup Helsinki 14.6.2013
With record number of attendees, of which nearly half were first timers, Drupal Camp Finland was a success!
Druid was proud to sponsor the event by building the responsive drupalcamp.fi theme, and giving two presentations which hopefully opened the world of Drupal 8 a little bit.
First presentation was called "CMI: Death of variables revisited" (Roni Kantis), and focused on the coming configuration management system that aims to partly replace the Features-module and make site configuration versionable. You can find the slides here.
The second one was called "Drupal 8 and Twig" (Arto Iijalainen and Joonas Pajunen), which showed us how Drupal 8's new template engine works, and what it means to old .tpl.php themers. Slides here.
Hope you liked them!
We also had a stand there, and seemed to be pretty much the only one handing out swag. T-shirts and stickers were extremely popular and some sizes even ran out. If you missed them, we have great news:
Druid and Drupal Assosiciation Finland decided to revive the tradition of Drupal Meetups. The next meetup will be held at Druid's headquarters in Helsinki. Event will take place 14.6.2013, and will include food, drinks (sponsored by KWD Digital, thanks guys!) and two saunas. Head to www.druid.fi/meetup for more information and registration. Be quick, the space is limited. Clean t-shirts are provided by Druid but don't forget to bring a towel. ;)
